America's Defeat!
December 31, 2005
When the Bush aAdministration committed its illegal aggression against the
sovereign nation of Iraq and its people, the last thing the players in power
thought about was America's defeat! Three years had passed since this crime
was committed, the consequences of their decision however, came back to hunt
us all!
Thousands of innocents Iraqi lives were lost, murdered, better yet killed.
Yes, killed in a premeditated mental state, to kill, murder, capture, torture
and terrorize! The torture and rape of Iraqi detainees and prisoners was
the first sign of America's defeat. Throughout the nation of Iraq, this merciless
killing machine committed daily crimes against Iraq, its resources and people.
The crimes against Iraq are the stealing of its resources, the continuing
occupation of its land, and the control of the lives of its people. The crimes
against Iraqis are the daily murder of innocent civilians and the continuing
torture of its detainees and prisoners.
Ironically, America's defeat came at the hands of those people who attempted
to protect it! The Bush administration can be blamed for this defeat, because
it compromised the values of America that meant to be the land of the free!
America's defeat started initially in the decision to invade Iraq, steal
its resources, and install a puppet government that can rule the lives of
its subjects without any regard to freedom and democracy, like the other
supported regimes in the region.
The defeat continues with:
-
the continuing torture and imprisonment of Iraqi civilians whose fault is
only to defend their country from the occupier;
-
the continuing imprisonment of under-age lads at Guantanemo (close that evil
place);
-
the secret monitoring of U.S. citizens without court orders, in which many
legal and civil rights professionals consider illegal. And,
-
the continuing use of secret evidence to incarcerate American-Arabs and Muslims,
a practice that history will not forgive. A practice that can be used in
kind by entities that oppose the U.S., America is not immune from such reciprocal
action.
America was defeated in Iraq, not necessarily by the Insurgents, or the Iraqi
Army. America was defeated by the immoral behaviors and actions of some of
its soldiers and commanders. America was defeated by the unjust decision
of its leaders, and by the muted support of its population.
America's defeat was realized when America compromised and lost its values.
